SKIPPERVILLE
Skipperville is what we affectionately call the family farm, our father nicknamed it that many years ago, it stuck and just took on a life of its own. We have referred to it by that for many years and in many situations, for instance when people ask where we live, we say we live in Skipperville, the next question is always, where is that? Our answers vary from it’s a small unincorporated community in Northeast Texas to it’s the unrecognized county seat of Morris County. Our father Joe E. Skipper was a good Christian man, he was in law enforcement for almost 50 years of his life and JCS Cattle Company, LLC is the legacy which he and God provided for. It is owned by the Matriarch of the Skipper family, his wife and our beloved mother, Marie Skipper and operated by Joel & Cynthia Skipper, brother and sister and 2nd generation to work the family homestead in Northeast Texas behind the pine curtain. Cynthia followed in the footsteps of our Father, and studied Criminal Justice at The University of Texas at Arlington, Joel took a different route playing baseball in college, ultimately becoming a Chef and Educator and working for some of the finest Chefs and hotels in the industry. They are passionate about preserving and improving the land, lifestyle and legacy of their family tradition. They believe the best way to do this is to first and foremost Honor the Lord and bring Glory to God in all they do, second is to build relationships with clients and vendors and providers who help make things work. They love the Lord, to travel, learn, to cook and eat & share their lifestyle with others.
